  • EDCS / EKIP Up

    After commissioning, the user can activate EDCS on its power distribution system by starting a subscription (including a free trial period of max. 6 months) with full access to all the standard features. The entitled user can activate SW-based functionalities on hardware components via the Ekip Connect commissioning and configuration tool, upon one-off purchase of the specific license via the marketplace to Tmax XT Touch and Hi-touch breakers.

  • MyRemoteCare / MySiteCare

    MyRemoteCare provides continuous remote monitoring of switchgear and circuit breakers and evaluates events, alarms and trips for specific maintenance and essential working issues. It replaces conventional maintenance approaches with condition-based services that enable the prediction of equipment faults. MyRemoteCare collects condition information from many data sources like MySiteCare: a universal circuit breaker diagnostic unit. And SWICOM the latest switchgear condition monitoring device with thermal and partial discharge monitoring.

  • Data Care

    ABB’s advanced, web-based data-sharing and backup service – Data Care – allows convenient sharing of technical information on protection and control relays throughout their entire life cycle. Relay configuration files, disturbance recordings, technical solutions, line diagrams and various related documents are easily accessible online and securely stored in a structured storage space.

    Simply smart. ABB-free@home® transforms the house or the apartment into an intelligent home, whether blinds, lights, heating, air conditioning, door communication or scenes.   • How does the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM benefit customers?
    The ABB Ability MarketplaceTM makes it possible to purchase, extend and cancel licenses for cloud, on-premise and device applications and functionalities, including the possibility of configuring add-on-features such as analytics, remote power metering and advanced cloud API interfaces.
    The ABB Ability MarketplaceTM offers flexible pricing options and subscription models such as one-time, subscription-based and usage-based pricing. Additionally, the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM offers free trials, product insights and documentation to enable self-education and support decision-making for all stakeholders.
  • Is the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM available globally?
    Today, the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM is available for all OECD countries. For US customers, the portfolio may vary slightly. We are working hard to expand our geography and bring our solutions to more countries on a continuous basis.
  • Which ABB AbilityTM solutions are available on the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM? Will more information follow soon?
    The ABB Ability MarketplaceTM currently offers 23 ABB AbilityTM applications in 34 countries. Two examples are Renewable Insights and our ABB AbilityTM Electrical Distribution Control System (EDCS).
    We are working on expanding our portfolio and our goal is to make the entire ABB AbilityTM portfolio available and accessible across the majority of our marketplaces and geographies.
  • Is the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM beneficial to any specific industry verticals?
    The ABB Ability MarketplaceTM like the ABB AbilityTM platform offers value-based solutions to a diverse set of industries including utilities, industries, and transport. Our goal is to make these solutions more accessible and available to more customers, geographies and industries to help address industry needs and achieve business and operational goals.
  • In which language will the customer receive invoices from the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM after purchase, both for a credit and cash payment?
    The full experience is initially only available in English. Our localization teams are working on rolling out new languages across our marketplaces in the coming months.
  • What is the ‘company’ entity used for? What are the actions I can perform?
    On the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM every user belongs to one or more companies. Typically, this is the employer who is responsible for that user such as the contractual partner in terms of purchase. However, it is also possible for a company employee to be part of multiple companies and to purchase on behalf of multiple subsidiaries of the same company.
    Upon creating an account with a new company, the first user is given the role of ‘Company Administrator’, which allows that user to invite company members to the ABB Ability MarketplaceTM and to assign roles which allow the administration of users and purchases.
  • Are credit cards and PayPal accepted payment methods?
    The ABB Ability MarketplaceTM accepts VISA, Mastercard and AMEX payments. Paypal account payments are currently not supported.
  • Are payments by bank transfer accepted?
    Payments by invoice are possible for customers that are validated for purchase by ABB, and credit limits are approved.
